You are a real Filipino If….
I miss my blog!I’m just updating once in a blue moon here and im starting to neglect my blog! HAHA, anyway I was Googling (nag google) a while ago, and i tried to Google about the signs of being a real Filipino.I really laugh those signs because some of them are true.I will share to you some traits and mannerism that Filipinos do.
MANNERISM AND PERSONALITY TRAITS
- You point with your lips – Tipong panguso-nguso pag may ituturo o iuutos.
- You consistently arrive 30 minutes late for events – VIP kuno! laging palate.
- You play pusoy or mahjong – Sugaleto kahit sang kanto may makikita kang naglalaro ng pusoy o saklaan.
- You scratch your head when you don’t know the answer – HaHa.Ano daw?! kamot sa ulo pag di alam ang sagot.
- You put your foot up on your chair and rest your elbows on your knees while you eat – Sitting pretty sa hapagkainan,yung muka ng indiano sa pagupo.
VOCABULARY
- You say ‘Ha?’ instead of “ano?’ – Pag nagutos at hinde mo narineg ang unang sasabhin Ha?
- When somebody gives you a compliment, instead of saying thank you, you say ‘hindi naman’ - Pacute pa! Gusto laging inuulet ulet.
- You say ‘Hoy!’ to get someone’s attention - May pangalan naman eh, Hoy pa talaga ang gingamit.
- You ask for ‘Colgate’ instead of toothpaste – Colagte daw! LOL brand po iyon.
- Your sneeze sounds like ‘Ahh-ching’ instead of ‘Ahh-choo’ – Talagang pronounced as Ahh-ching yan for sure may kasama pang mgandang mukha!
OTHER SIGNS:
- Cokes are reserved for visitors to your house.
- You refer to seasonings and all forms of MSG as ‘Ajinomoto’
- You check labels on clothes to see where it’s made
- You have a ‘tabo’ in your bathroom
- You always leave your shoes at the door.
I was like.. whaaaaaaat?Some of them are tru.Do you Agree?

Yes, some are actually true. Another thing I can add is that yung magagandang plato, baso and utensils, reserved for visitors lang din. Hahaha XD And yung pagsitsit (Psssst) para makuha yung atensyon ng ibang tao. Kapag lilingon ka naman pag narinig mo yun, Pinoy ka rin. HahahaXD Reply |
